Design approach
I start with the big picture—clarifying the problem, the user risk, and the business impact—then move quickly into prototypes and working systems. I test early, iterate often, and stay close to Product and Engineering to make trade-offs explicit and keep feedback loops active after launch.
Increasingly, my work sits at the intersection of design and implementation—translating product strategy into functional web applications and exploring how AI reshapes workflows, not just interfaces.
What drives me
I’m motivated to build systems that make complex decisions clearer—so people can act with confidence instead of guesswork.
Time in the mountains and the garage keeps me practical: pack light, fix what breaks, keep moving. Becoming part of a Mexican–Chinese family and raising bicultural children has deepened my ability to hold multiple perspectives at once—balancing clarity with nuance. That mindset shapes how I design.
